Last remenants of Democracy swept away, Chavez now official dictator
In a move erriliey reminisicent of teh German "enabling Act" that granted Hitler total and complete power, Venezuela's National Assembly has given approval to a bill granting Hugo Chavez the power to bypass congress and rule by decree.
While the claim is made that this law will sunset in 18 months, the odds of a Communist like Chavez actually relinquishing that kind of power are slim.
