There's a thread on my old Blog about my efforts to get Distorted View shut down. One post is particularly disturbing.

Let's look at this more closely.

First, it's an Anonymous post.  The poster wished to remain unknown or just didn't have a Livejournal login.  I won't read anything into that.

We can already see the kid can't write or spell properly.  Is he lazy or just plain stupid? Then of course we get the stunning debate tactics of name calling and profanity. We're dealing with a real brain here folks.

Distorted View is not destroying America on it's own, but is part of a larger social problem with permissive attitudes and the erosion of our nation's moral base.

That's a run-on sentence child. Learn to express yourself better. It's clear the kid hasn't read my blog very much because I do have a lot of supporting comments in other threads. As for the discrimination. yes, I discriminate against pornographers and pedophiles. I'm sorry this child look sup to such people as role models.

The last time I checked, Christians are supposed to be moral. I think if anything, you're disgracing the religion. Didn't Jesus accept Mary Magdalene with open arms? I support anyone who wishes to express their views, whatever they may be, regardless of personal discriminations, religious beliefs, and so on. However, when such a person attacks others, I do have a problem.

Maybe you should do a little more research before denouncing things left and right based on incomplete information. That's the thing I hate most about people like you: you're so single-minded that you're stuck believing some asinine concept even though loads of contradicting evidence is all around you. Just a few thoughts:

1) People are born gay. It's something chemical, not something people choose to be. It's just another way that all humans are different from each other. If God wanted everyone to be the same, then we would all be clones of each other. We all have different personalities and lifestyles. Plus, what happens in the bedroom is none of your damn business, and shouldn't even be a concern of the government anyhow. It's the most ridiculous issue being discussed today.

2) Ever heard of "Separation of Church and State"? Sure, our government has historically done a pretty shitty job of upholding that ideal, and you're not helping any. But the government has no right to discriminate against other religions, so you just come of as a hate-spewing monger by saying we should ban Islam. No one has the right to say which religion, if any, is the Only Right Way, until God himself comes out of his hiding place and personally shows everyone that he's here.

3) Bringing it back to the issue at hand: Don't you think there are more important things to worry about than what one guy is putting into a Podcast? As has been mentioned numerous times before, no one is forcing anyone to listen to Distorted View, there IS a clear warning on the front page detailing its contents, and it's not even on a public broadcasting system, so it's not like you can just accidentally hear this show or whatever. Tim Henson (not a pseudonym, by the way. Another example of your tendency to jump to conclusions without making an effort to really research your arguments) is just reading the news and making a bit of commentary. There are REAL pedophilia Podcasts out there. Tim is just giving us an outlet to enjoy a little satire. He's not actually racist (fans from all over the world and of all races call in to the show), he's not really a bigot, and he certainly doesn't want anyone to actually emulate what is said during his show. All if this is quite clear to anyone who actually listens to his show on a regular basis. We, as fans, are simply capable of separating fact from fiction, and as such we appreciate satire.

Don't tell me you read "A Modest Proposal" and thought Jonathan Swift actually believed we should all start eating babies, did you? Get the stick out of your ass.

It's a choice, plain and simple.

The media perpetuates a myth that it's how you're "born" but there is NO proof or evidence to indicate that's the case.

If it were genetic, then identical twins would have the same orientation, but gay twins are exceedingly rare. Yes, it "Seems" to run in families, but those families also have issues with sexual abuse. The real correlation is with child abuse, NOT family genetics. If it were how you were born, being molested wouldn't impact the likelihood of choosing a gay lifestyle, but 85% of homosexuals were molested as children.

Your whole argument hinges on a pathetic and laughable fallacy.

I am 15, make strait A's, and go to church every sunday, yet, unlike you, I don't think that I am simply too good to enjoy some irreverant humor. Sure, DV listeners like myself might laugh at things that you might think are not funny, for instance, your views on pokemon and the fact that your name sounds like cum swallow. Yet, that does not mean you are better than us and it certainly does not give you the power to shut it down when it makes so many people happy.

Well it may be your view that Distorted View corrupts youth and that it will get us expelled from school but i beg to differ. I am 16 years old and i have been listening to Distorted View for over a year now. In this whole school year i have never once been late for school, skipped school, done drugs, smoked, drank alcohol or raped any young children. May i also mention that i play some very violent video games including Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, which you have mentioned before. I just thought that you should know that there are some good people out there listening to Distorted View and that we aren't all fuck ups.

However annoying it is, it's still part of the internet culture. If you can't understand that kind of crap and have some ammount of tolerance for it, then get your ass off the internet.
You also seem to be suggesting that all the underage listeners are uneducated and dumb. This is stereotyping, which you seem to do a lot of. I myself am an underage listener, yet I'm well educated and in many of the advanced placement classes in school. I have never been suspended or arrested. I've never taken anything that's aired on the show seriously. And all the news stories that are featured? Well it's not Tim Henson's fault that these people are so fucked up. All he does is make fun of them.
And none of the porn stories that are read are all that realistic. I mean, Cheerie-o rape, cockvore, and tree sex? How much of that is believable? I mean, I have never supported porn that much, but I still find those stories fun to laugh at because they're so fucked up.
Learn to live with this kind of shit. You don't have to listen to it if you don't want to.
